Creek Indians in Georgia were known to be friendly.

During the summer of 1786, when a few white people lived within the limits of Jackson County, Richard Easley, Abednego Moore, and Johnson Josiah Strong came from Effingham County and settled near Talasee Shoals on Mulberry River, then called Tishmaugu.
