1775. April 19. The first expeditions of the Revolutionary War occurred in Middlesex County. The American Army succeeded in destroying British cannon and 24 supplies of the Concord Militia and to drive back the enemy. Forty-nine were killed, thirty-nine wounded and seventy-three missing.
