Georgia Militia Records are Available

The Georgia Militia was organized before the Revolutionary War wherein all units participated. Members were between the ages of 16 and 50 plus years old. Hence one can expect to locate ancestors born between as early as 1729 to 1760 in these records. The earliest records containing many veterans of that war, so this is an excellent resource to locate ancestors in Georgia during Colonial days.
